Our 7/8A team is going to the Battle of Bothell! The three day tournament (June 15, 16, 17) is one of the National Qualifiers for the Dick's Sporting Goods Tournament of Champions which takes place in Wesly Chapel, Florida.
The tournament is a best-of-three format with the top four teams in each division advancing to a single elimination playoff, the top two playing for the number one spot, which then earns that team a bid to attend the National Championship for their division in Florida.
What this means is that our Stanwood boys could find themselves earning the opportunity to go to Florida to play for a National Championship against top 7/8A teams from around the country.
7/8 team parents, please mark your calendars accordingly and make sure your player is available to attend this remarkable event. With hard work, solid play, determination and grit our boys can win a chance to wing to Florida and the national stage!

Congratulations to Varsity player Frank Medlicott, #32, Middie & LSM, who has been selected to the WHSBLA Division II All-Conference Team representing the All-Skagit Conference and Stanwood Lacrosse. Way to go!
So, you're new to the sport and wondering where to get gear for your player. Here are some suggestions.
Play It Again Sports in Marysville is a good place to pick up equipment, both new or used, from entry level to intermediate. The owner, Rob Scott, has become a good friend and supporter of Stanwood Lacrosse. Let him know we've sent you in.
Breakaway Lacrosse, in Seattle and Bellevue, sells nothing but lacrosse equipment, from entry level to pro. They also sell lacrosse-specific cleats.
The Sports Authority, Lynnwood and Everett, stocks gear during the season, mostly in the entry level price range.
For those of you comfortable with the online experience, there are quite a few sites we would suggest. You can find them in the Links tab.
Finally, there is always Craigslist where you can always find someone selling their used gear. Once on the sight, type "lacrosse" in the search bar and viola, you're there.
